Doolin’s Women’s Drinking Club, Doolin’s Irish Pub, 654 Nelson St, Vancouver, 6:30 p.m., $20
An interactive gluten-free beer seminar hosted by Lundy Dale, certified cicerone, who will explain how these beers are made. An excellent chance for those who are celiac, gluten intolerant, or simply avoiding wheat for other health reasons, to try some exciting new products. Ticket includes samples of at least five beers, plus celiac-friendly nibbles.

Annual Pub Night for an “AU-SOME” Cause, Central City Brewing Co., 13450 102nd Ave., Surrey, 7-10 p.m. $28 
The ABA Support Network is a non-profit organization that provides autism education, information and parent support. This evening promises to bring together a fantastic group of parents and supporters in the autism community for an evening of fabulous food, award winning beer and good times. There will be a silent auction, souvenir photos, door prizes, raffle draws, and more. Ticket includes a selection of appetizers and a pint of Central City beer. Buy tickets here.

Beer Goggles: First Annual Craft Brew Festival, Red Mountain Resort, Rossland, 2-6 p.m., $24
Confirmed breweries include Nelson Brewing, Okanagan Spring, Tree, Steamworks, Mt. Begbie, Parallel 49, Stanley Park, Central City Brewing, with more to be announced. Ticket includes 4-oz. beer mug and four sampler tokens, with additional tokens costing $1 each. More info and tickets here.

Second Annual East Side Beer Fest at The Wise Hall, 1882 Adanac St., Vancouver, 7-9 p.m., $24.99
This Liberty Merchant Company-sponsored event is in support of the Greater Vancouver Food Bank Society and features craft beers from all over the world along with samples from Commercial Drive food purveyors. Bring a non-perishable food bank donation. Tickets available from all Liberty outlets.

March 7

Hot Glass Cold Beer, Terminal City Glass Co-op, 1191 Parker St. 6-9 p.m., $45
Taste beer from some of Vancouver’s best craft breweries while you watch a talented team of glassblowers make art from molten glass.
